These beach wheelchairs are an important part of what we do at Nairn Beach Wheelchairs, and seeing them together like this feels like another step forward in making the beach more accessible for everyone.

They are now waiting for their first public viewing at Wheels on Nairn at The Links on Saturday 21st September, and we hope as many people as possible will come along to see them for themselves.

These chairs will not be available to use just yet. Before that can happen, we still need to get our container and premises established at the swimming pool. Thankfully, that should not be much further off now that planning permission has been granted.

That means we are getting closer to being able to offer a proper, reliable base of operations, with safe storage for the chairs and the practical setup needed to support future use. It has taken a great deal of work to reach this point, and seeing the equipment assembled today makes everything feel that little bit more real.

We also want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has helped, supported, donated, and raised money to get us to this stage. We could not have done it without you. We are especially grateful to the Rotary Club, who are collecting money for us as their chosen charity. That support means so much to us, and to the progress we are making together as a community.
