It's all coming together

This has been a pretty special month for Nairn Beach Wheelchairs, marking a culmination of hard work and community spirit. We have officially secured our planning permission, the storage container is fully ordered and paid for, and we have successfully assembled all four of our new beach wheelchairs. Beyond the chairs themselves, we have gathered all the essential extras needed to keep our users comfortable and safe, including specialised Stabilo cushions and high-visibility vests.

We have also been busy building our team, welcoming a fantastic group of volunteers and gathering the necessary references to ensure everything runs smoothly. It is heartening to see the structure of our project coming together so clearly.

Tomorrow is the Wheels of Nairn event down on the Links, and it is a milestone for us in more ways than one. This event marks exactly one year since our group first came together to start this journey. What a year it has been. We have raised over £30,000, an incredible achievement made possible only by the overwhelming and consistent support of our local community.
